Retreat Speaker
Rev. Deb(orah) Somerville The product of a Free Methodist pastor’s family, Deb has learned through her childhood and adult years what a gift this heritage has provided. She continues to learn from her pastor/father who, at age 94, remains active and passionate about all things Jesus. Prior to Deb’s retirement, in December of 2020 as senior pastor of the Greenville FMC, she served as lead pastor in three conferences (Great Plains, Wabash, and Gateway). She also had leadership responsibilities in two General Conferences of the FMCUSA, has spoken at numerous family camps and women’s retreats, and continues to fill pulpits in the Greenville area as invitations are presented. She also remains active in her home church in Greenville. Deb and Karl celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary in July. They enjoy their two adult children and their spouses, and their one most excellent grandson, a recent graduate of the University of Michigan.
Silent Auction
Our Silent Auction is an annual tradition and great way for us to raise money...and find some sweet deals! (Sometimes quite literally!) If you desire, bring some quality items to donate for our annual silent auction, and don’t forget your checkbook! Typical items include homemade treats, handmade gifts and gift baskets.
Book Exchange
Our annual Book Exchange will be in the coffee house. If you enjoy reading, donate a book, or find a book to read!
Free Time
In addition to scheduled activities, there will be free time! Many women enjoy activities around Sky Lodge such as horseback riding, mini-golfing, canoeing, hammocking and hiking. Or visit the Candy Store, Princeton antique stores, or local Amish shops!
Service Project
We will be filling bags to bless women who are struggling and are living in a women’s shelter. If you desire, bring a couple of small items such as travel size shampoo, soap, toothpaste, comb. We will also have items and bags on hand and would love your help filling the bags.
Blank note cards will be available. Join us to write an encouraging note to these women as they are in a very rough time of their lives. Your words of encouragement will mean the world to the woman who receives it.
